I think the key to losing weight is making the decision to change. Everything else is really up to each person and what works for them. But what we (those of us losing weight) have in common is our mental shift! We have decided that enough is enough!
Once that decision is made, everything else finds its place. This isn’t to say that everything is easier. Quite the contrary actually – making the decision to change means we’ve counted the cost, surveyed the situation and begun to plan how we’re going to get out of this mess we find ourselves in.
In every journey there are going to be things you can control; and things you can’t. The real key to success is controlling the things you can, and being ok with the things you can’t. But believe me…there are ALWAYS things you can control.
Over the past few weeks my wife has been away taking care of her grandpa. That meant that as much as I wanted to go to the gym, I just was not able. Not something I could control.
What I could control was how much and what I was eating. That I COULD control.
I’ve now lost 54 pounds. Because I’ve made a decision to control the things I can!
You’ll have to find for yourself what you’re able to control. Be realistic. But believe in yourself. There ARE things you can control. And if you take control of those things, you’ll reap the reward of a brand new life!
